Mustangs Acquire Emigh from Bonnyville

The Melfort Mustangs have acquired 2003-born defenceman Cameron Emigh in a trade with the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the AJHL. In exchange, the Mustangs send a Player Development Fee (PDF) to the Pontiacs.

Emigh, out of Bonnyville, Alta., played in 15 games with the Pontiacs this season, scoring one goal and adding two assists for three points.

“Cam is a versatile defenceman who skates very well and is responsible at both ends of the ice,” said Mustangs Head Coach Trevor Blevins. “We are excited for Cam to be part of our defence core now and in the future.”

Emigh also played eight games with the Pontiacs during the 2020/2021 COVID-19 shortened season. He tallied one assist in those games.

The Mustangs would like to welcome Cameron to Melfort!

The Mustangs are back in game action Tuesday, Jan. 4 when they visit the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
